the experience…
You’re Here
When you arrive at the cottage, I hope you’ll make yourself completely at home.
Lake Arrowhead is a little mountain town where time seems to move a bit more slowly, and there are so many ways to enjoy it—but I wanted to share a few of the things I love most about being here.
First, I hope you’ll simply stay a while. Let the cottage be your invitation to slow down. Light a fire, pour yourself your favorite drink, and curl up with a book you’ve been meaning to read. Sit on the front stoop in the afternoon and watch the blue jays come and go. Tinker around the kitchen and make something comforting, perhaps with no particular plans for when dinner should be finished.
Take a long, meandering walk through the neighborhood and admire the beautiful vintage homes tucked among the trees. Wander down the trail and let the scenery unfold around you—the water, the towering trees, the mountain air. There is something wonderfully restorative about simply walking with nowhere you need to be.
For me, this little cottage has become a nostalgic escape—a place that feels wonderfully removed from the noise and hurry of everyday life. It reminds me of a simpler kind of living, where the days are measured by fireside evenings, long walks, good meals, open books, and conversations that linger.
I hope you find that same feeling here.
Perhaps you’ll arrive as a guest, but my hope is that you leave feeling as though you’ve discovered a little home away from home—a place you’ll remember fondly and find yourself longing to return to.
So unpack your bags, settle in, open the windows, and let the mountain air in.
There’s nowhere you need to be. You’re here.
